The global financial crunch has extended its reach to Dunsborough, with a 19-year old car suspension technology company closing its doors today.
ABC radio reported that Kinetic Ltd, which developed technology that is a staple in the Toyota Landcruiser, will shut down after US parent company Tenneco Automotive had to downsize its operations.
The suspension technology was used in rally cars in races around the world, including the arduous Dakar Rally.
The Dunsborough business had 19 employees.
The company was founded in 1989 by investor Chris Heyring.
