Former West Coast Eagles captain Darren Glass has been appointed general manager at Complete Home Filtration, which was named startup of the year in 2020 at Business News’s RISE awards.
Mr Glass most recently worked as the list manager at West Coast, but announced he was quitting yesterday.
It was reported he left due to pay cuts at the club.
Mr Glass retired from AFL in 2014 and went on to be leadership coach at the Adelaide Crows and assistant coach at Hawthorn Football Club.
He also had a brief stint working at Boston Consulting Group in Perth.
“Darren’s appointment has come during a time of significant growth for the business, with three states now operational with our Complete Home brand and our patented PFAS filtration technology about to hit the market, it was important for us to bring in a high calibre leader to help take the business to the next level,” Ms Dodds said.
“Darren’s skills as a leader along with his lesser known but highly valuable business acumen built throughout his career, a Bachelor of Commerce, a Masters in Business Administration and a stint with one of the world’s top three strategy consulting firms will be an asset to our business.”
Mr Glass will assume his new role on February 15.
Complete Home Filtration recently completed a $2.4 million capital raise with RAC WA’s venture capital arm Better Labs Ventures.
The company operates in WA, New South Wales and Queensland and is planning to expand into other states.
It specialises in the installation of water filtration systems for the whole house.
