GIRALIA Resources has announced that it has amalgamated its West Pilbara tenement holdings with assets from private company, Guardian Resources, to form a new company to be called Red Hill Iron.
Giralia managing director Mike Joyce said the 49 per cent interest gave the company a substantial stake in a high-potential iron ore project, close to existing infrastructure and rail facilities.
He said the decision to combine the assets came after a number of iron ore majors had approached both companies to acquire the assets.
Mr Joyce said Guardian was associated with Perth mining identity Josh Pitt.
