Small indigenous business Gebro Contracting, which has worked with Main Roads Western Australia and Georgiou Group, has entered administration.

Robert Jacobs of Auxilium Partners was appointed to take charge of the South Hedland-based company, according to an Australian Securities and Investments Commission document filed today.

Gebro was founded by former Main Roads supervisor George Brown in September 2016.

Mr Brown did not wish to comment when contacted by Business News.

It's understood Gebro owes money to the Australian Taxation Office, although the amount is unclear.

Employees are still at work as the business is restructured.

One major piece of work for Gebro was project supervision at the construction of a bridge lifting the Great Northern Highway over Roy Hill’s iron ore rail line.

Gebro worked with Georgiou Group on the $19 million project, which was completed earlier this year.

The company’s website says it is also a current contractor for Main Roads.

It has previously been reported Gebro had five employees.
