Games trouble Gates’ baby

The Note has been advised that the extension of daylight saving in Sydney and Melbourne by one week to April 2 for the upcoming Commonwealth Games may prove a little problem for those with Microsoft Windows on their computer. The Windows calendar evidently doesn’t allow temporary changes to its programming, resulting in those computers with Microsoft Windows automatically switching back an hour at the usual week when daylight saving ends. Thus, for the week of daylight saving extension, Windows calendars will be an hour out.
