There are many qualities that make a leader, yet few are able to combine them in a way that inspires others to achieve. WA Business News’ 40under40 aimed to find WA’s top young business people in recognition of their success.
Winners of the inaugural WA Business News 40under40 Award have confirmed the program a resounding success, with widespread interest from both the business and wider community. Nominators, nominees, winners, sponsors, judges and others associated with the event have applauded the concept and the breadth of support has ensured that the program will continue next year.
Winners have been inundated with emails and phone calls congratulating them on their achievement. One winner even received a personal phone call from the Premier, Dr Geoff Gallop.
Some companies have realised the potential of this formidable market and have begun targeting this leadership group with advertising paraphernalia.
The 40under40 evening, held earlier this month, awarded 40 business people under the age of 40 who were highlighted as tomorrow’s business leaders by a panel of 11 judges.
The winners have since received widespread media coverage recognising their personal achievements and those of their businesses.
Business News will shortly announce the opening date for 2003 nominations and people can check the website www.40under40.com.au for updates.
The photos that feature in this special souvenir edition are only a small number of the photos that were taken on the evening. They will be available via the website www.40under40.com.au soon or you can contact WA Business News.
