On Monday October 6, the Save Foundation of Australia is holding a Sporting Celebrities Gala Dinner and Auction which is titled An evening with some international Cricketers and Rugby Players to help save the Black Rhino, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
The dinner will feature special guest such as Heath Streak and other members of the Zimbabwe cricket team; Australian Fast Bowlers Glen McGrath and Brett Lee and members of the South African and England World Cup Rugby teams.
The auction will feature a large selection of sporting memorabilia such as, two signed photos of Sir Donald Bradman; cricket bats signed by Satchin Tendulkar, Ian Botham and Viv Richards; a golf putter signed by Tiger Woods; a boxing glove signed by Mohammed Ali; and a framed pair of cricket bats one featuring the signatures of 13 Australian cricket team captains, 5 signatures of the Invincibles team and 20 signatures of Australian criketers from the 1950 to 1970 era, the second bat has the signatures of Australian cricketers from 1970 to the current squad.
Tickets to the Gala Dinner and Auction are available from the Save Foundation for $99 for individual tickets, $950 for a table of ten or $1950 for a table of ten with an International star as your guest at the table, which includes a 4 course meal and beer, wine and soft drinks. All proceeds from the evening will go towards purchasing anti-poaching equipment that will help save the endangered Black Rhino.
