Greatland Resources deputy chair Elizabeth Gaines sold $3.7 million worth of shares in the goldminer across two transactions last week.
Ms Gaines sold 205,500 shares in Greatland on August 27 and a further 79,512 shares on August 28, for gross proceeds of $3,712,703.
The stake represented almost 35 per cent of Ms Gaines’ total 822,385-share holding in Greatland before the transactions were made.
It leaves her with 537,373 shares in the company – a stake worth just shy of $6 million on today’s closing price of $11.10.
The figures were revealed in a disclosure to the market by Greatland today.
The goldminer’s share price was down 5.8 per cent for the day.
Ms Gaines, who was until recently a senior executive at Fortescue, also sold the lion’s share of her stake in that company in May for $5.5 million.
That share sale was billed to the ASX as one taken for “personal financial and tax liability planning reasons”.
Fellow Greatland executive Mark Barnaba sold two-thirds of his stake in the Telfer mine owner late in May for more than $13 million.
Mr Barnaba still holds around 500,000 shares in the company.
Greatland made a net profit of $862 million after tax last financial year, its first running the Telfer asset following its acquisition from Newmont late in 2024.
The company is progressing the nearby Havieron development project as a tie-in to Telfer’s infrastructure, and recent started work building the $1 billion mine.
The project is expected to enter production in the 2029 financial year.
