GR Engineering Services has won an $18 million contract for the refurbishment of processing facilities at Newcrest Mining’s Telfer copper-gold mine in the Pilbara.
The Perth-based engineering firm will refurbish and commission a dump leaching facility at Telfer, with works expected to be completed by November.
The contract includes engineering and design work, procurement of materials and equipment, fabrication, construction, commissioning and project management.
“This Contract is GR Engineering’s third brownfields EPC engagement at Telfer in the past year, all of which have been awarded following our delivery of front end engineering studies,” managing director Joe Ricciardo said.
“We look forward to continuing our strong working relationship with Newcrest and demonstrating GR Engineering’s ability to unlock value for clients through the delivery of incremental project enhancements.”
At 12:00PM WST, GR Engineering stocks were down slightly, trading at $1.43.
