Electrical contracting firm GCo Electrical has won a $6.8 million contract at La Mancha Resources’ Mungari gold project near Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

The contract was awarded by global firm Sedgman, and will require 50 personnel to complete.

The works comprise electrical and instrumentation installation for the processing plant at the Mungari mine, with an expected completion date of February 2014.

GCo chief executive Murray Hadley said the company was looking forward to working with Sedgman on the project.

“Our bid team built a strong working relationship with the Sedgman team throughout the tender process and we endeavour to carry this relationship well into the project and beyond,” Mr Hadley said.
