GCS wins work on two projects

Global Construction Services has been awarded $15.5 million in new contracts in the Perth metropolitan area.

GCS said today it would install the façade at the $1.2 billion children’s hospital currently under construction in Nedlands for John Holland.

The façade will be one of the most intricate and complex installations ever attempted in the Southern Hemisphere, GCS said.

“GCS is pleased the recognition of its expertise in curtain wall installation has resulted in this important engagement,” the company said in the statement.

The works are valued around $10.5 million.

Also today, GCS said its contracting division CASC had won a formwork and concrete installation deal at Golden Group's May Holman Centre redevelopment on St Georges Terrace, where Probuild is the construction contractor.

The works, valued at $5 million, will comprise formwork and concrete works for the 15,000 square metre redevelopment.

“To be selected as the preferred contractor on these two important projects recognises GCS’s superior delivery capability,” managing director Enzo Gullotti said.

At 10:20AM, WST, GCS shares were up around 2 per cent, trading at 54 cents.
