GCS wins more Woodside work

Global Construction Services has won an extension to its contract to provide all of the onshore and offshore scaffolding works for Woodside Petroleum’s North West Shelf project.

The extension will add another year and two further 12-month extension options to the contract GCS was awarded in 2013, and will involve the construction services firm working to supply, maintain, store, transport and haul of all scaffolding equipment at the North West Shelf development.

GCS also supplies specialist management and labour resources for Woodside when required.

The scope of work will be undertaken by GCS subsidiary GCS Integrated Services, which is based in Karratha.

“We are pleased this contract has been extended to December 2017 as it is testament to the quality of the products and services GCS has been providing Woodside over the last two years,” GCS managing director Enzo Gullotti said.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Shares in GCS were unchanged at 48.5 cents each at 10:30am.
