Global Construction Services has won a $30 million contract to provide major formwork and concrete works for the $360 million Midland Health Campus for Brookfield Multiplex.
GCS announced today it had received a letter of intent from Brookfield Multiplex for the works and expected a formal contract to be executed in coming weeks.
The 307-bed Midland hospital is being developed by a consortium led by St John of God Health Care, which also includes architecture firm Hassell and Brookfield Multiplex.
GCS said its formwork division, CASC, would commence work immediately on the project.
“There is a significant investment pipeline of new infrastructure developments currently being initiated by the state government,” GCS group managing director Enzo Gullotti said.
"This project represents the first of a number of anticipated key projects to be awarded and we are delighted to win another important West Australian Department of Health Infrastructure project."
At 11:00AM, WST, GCS shares were up 9.3 per cent, trading at 64.5 cents.
