Perth-based Global Construction Services has teamed up with private company Giovenco Industrial Services to provide scaffolding and related services to Woodside's Pluto gas project.

Former TCC Group manager Darren Iannello established Giovenco's WA operation this year after TCC was acquired by UK-based company Cape plc.

The announcement is below:

Construction services group Global Construction Services Limited (ASX: GCS) is pleased to announce that it has formed an alliance for the Woodside Pluto Project with Giovenco Industrial Services for the provision of scaffolding, general plant hire and related services.

Under the alliance, GCS will supply its range of services on this major contract where Giovenco looks to deliver multi-discipline, one-stop-shop services.

GCS Managing Director Enzo Gullotti said "this project will bring together two very like-minded groups with a focus on outstanding service."

"We are pleased to be in an alliance with Giovenco and GCS will kick off the relationship by supplying Giovenco's scaffolding and general plant hire requirements on the Woodside Pluto Project from November 2009," said Mr Gullotti.

The senior management group at GCS has a long standing relationship with the key management team at Giovenco who have extensive experience in the WA market and top level relationships within the resources and industrial sectors.
