FARGO-based Great Plains Soft-ware has launched its Siebel Front Office product in WA through Applecross-based company Sequel Technology.According to the Gartner Group, Great Plains is one of North Amer-ica’s top midmarket providers of e-business solutions.Great Plains Australasian partner of marketing and public relations Megan Lewis said the company’s strength lay in its network of independent business partners.“Technology has made the world too small for competition,” Ms Lewis said.“Collaboration is the key. As a channel-only company, we have thirty-five resellers in Australia and New Zealand.”Sequel Technology has been a Great Plains partner for seven years and will be responsible for the implementation and support of the Siebel Front Office product in WA.Sequel Technology director of operations Richard Vines said Sequel was the third top Great Plains reseller in Australasia, winning the Great Plains Technical Innovation Award in 1997.“There’s no industry Great Plains hasn’t developed a solution for,” Mr Vines said.“In contrast to conventional software providers working ‘out in the cold’, Great Plains resellers develop and enhance third party products. It really is a win-win situation.”Ms Lewis said the “spirit of partnership empowered the speedy development” of software.“As a channel-only organisation, we provide people with the means to produce good software solutions quickly as opportunities arise in the market – instead of taking ages to create a great one,” she said.Ms Lewis said Great Plains had developed products to optimise the Microsoft platform since the release of the 3.1 operating system. She said Siebel Front Office integrated front and back office operations, enabling mid-market companies to manage customer relationships more effectively. Its eEnterprise back office business management platform enabled more effective targeted sales, marketing and services across the enterprise.
