Mr Freedman was instrumental in the re-listing of Channel 10 in 1992 by backing it into Telecaster North Queensland in 1992.
Mr Burston said Mr. Freedman's appointment to the board of Carrick comes at a decisive time for the Company as it plans for the important transition from gold explorer to producer.
"It is rare that a company the size of Carrick Gold is able to gain the expertise and insights of a distinguished business leader such as Mr. Freedman," Mr. Burston said.
He said Mr. Freedman's appointment to Condor's board comes at an exciting time as the Company's exploration programmes, particularly at the Dingo Range and Kallona Pool projects, continue to meet with success.
"Additionally, Mr. Freedman's appointment will provide Condor and its shareholders with a wealth of experience across a broad range of disciplines," Mr. Burston said.

Western Australian-based gold explorer, Carrick Gold Limited (ASX Code: CRK) would like to announce the appointment of Laurence Freedman AM as a Director of the Company.

Mr. Freedman said that he plans to hold his position for as long as it takes to assist the already solid board to seek suitable operational and technical staff and to ensure that the Company prospers.
"The next stage of corporate development will be to examine ways to exploit the various gold deposits they hold. It is my hope that my role will be completed within 12 to 18 months," he said.
"Carrick has a substantial gold asset base which it is growing through highly-successful exploration programmes.
"Carrick is debt-free with $20 million cash and so is in a very strong financial position to
pursue further exploration, success and to develop its assets into mineable ounces."

Recent exploration at the Dingo Range project, located 450 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie, confirmed the presence of significant iron enrichment in surface gravels and outcrop over a strike distance of approximately 40 kilometres.
The Company's focus at the Dingo Range project is to assess whether the quality of iron ore deposit exists to achieve 'Direct Shipping Ore', which does not require significant processing.
"Condor holds an attractive asset base of iron ore, manganese and nickel targets," Mr.
Freedman said.
"I look forward to serving Condor as it assesses, with a view to commercialising, this iron ore deposit - as well as its manganese and nickel opportunities," he said.
"It is my hope that my role will be completed within 12 to 18 months."
