Free Trade Agreements
The School of Business at the University of Western Australia, in conjunction with the Trade, Migration and Development Research Centre will host an international conference on Free Trade Agreements in the Asia-Pacific Region: Implications for Australia over July 4 to 6.
The conference will examine the impact of recent bilateral trade agreements with the US, Singapore and Thailand and exchange ideas with the aim to remove any undue confusion and fear about these FTA’s.
The conference is aimed at leaders representing commercial, industrial, agricultural, resource, banking, health and cultural sectors to ensure awareness of the opportunities and potential problems created by AUSTFA and other FTA’s in the Asia-Pacific region.
The conference is also relevant for State and Federal Government departments responsible for developing trade strategies as well as key policy makers.
Academics, trade economists, and diplomats are also invited to attend.
Registrations can be made with the University of Western Australia for $550, a concession rate is available to groups of three or more from one organisation.
