Four new faces at SRK

International consulting firm SRK Consulting has recently appointed four people to its Perth office. Awie Swart has transferred from SRK’s Johannesburg office as principal mining engineer. He has 20 years of post-graduate experience in the mining industry, including nine years with SRK Consulting. Mr Swart has a Master of Engineering (Mining) degree from South Africa. Iain Wearing has joined SRK as a senior mining engineer with 18 years’ experience, predominantly in open cut mining. He has worked with iron ore, gold and nickel in Australia, South-East Asia and the former Soviet Union. Robin Simpson has been appointed as a consultant geologist, having recently completed a master’s degree in geostatistics at the University of Leeds. He also has more than seven years’ experience in mining and exploration. Toby Davis has been appointed as a structural geologist, with seven years’ experience in the mining, exploration and research fields. Formed in South Africa in 1974, SRK Consulting now employs more than 500 professionals internationally in 25 permanent offices on six continents.
