Forge Group subsidiary Cimeco has received a notice of award for a $70 million engineering and procurement contract at Rio Tinto’s West Angelas and Brockman iron ore mines in the Pilbara.
The scope of works covers design and construction of fuel infrastructure at the developments, and has a term of 12-months.
Forge chief executive David Simpson said Forge had delivered multiple projects for Rio Tinto over the past few years.
“They are a valued client, and we are very pleased to be awarded this latest contract,” Mr Simpson said.
“This fuel infrastructure project comprises engineering, procurement and construction services, and will utilise the full suite of disciplines in the Cimeco business, including civil and concrete, structural, mechanical and piping, as well as electrical and instrumentation work. “
The deal remains subject to Rio and Forge finalising documentation.
At 10:45AM, WST, Forge stocks were down 0.7 per cent, trading at $4.34.
