WOMEN currently hold just 12 per cent of executive management positions in Australia, and 39.5 per cent of companies have no women executive managers, according to the Australian Women & Leadership Forum. With that in mind, and today being International Women’s Day, it seems timely to alert readers to an executive women’s leadership symposium program, being held in Perth on May 17 and 18, at the University Club. The symposium will feature a number of speakers, including federal Education, Science and Training Minister, Julie Bishop, and WA Department of Local Government & Regional Development director general, Cheryl Gwilliam.
