Perth-based tech startup Fleetsu has taken home the top prize at the Motorola Solutions public safety hackathon for its safety mobile application.
Fleetsu received $30,000 in cash and a $15,000 credit to use Amazon Web Services’ web hosting tool for creating a mobile app that helps public safety agents track where their assets and resources are at all times.
The two-day event took place in Brisbane last week.
The purpose of the hackathon was to develop public safety-based mobile apps to solve real-world operational challenges faced by public safety agents.
Participants developed technology solutions that solve problems described by Queensland safety agencies to improve safety and efficiency for first responders.
Each team was equipped with a number of tools to use to develop their ideas.
The products were judged by a panel and based on a set of criteria.
