ANDREW Kirke has been appointed as the Goldfields South-East Region’s first senior medical officer for the Emergency Department at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital.
Dr Kirke is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners with post-graduate qualifications in anaesthesia and obstetrics.
He has worked in general practice for more than four years, including two in Kalgoorlie.
Dr Kirke will continue his private general practice in Kalgoorlie-Boulder and maintain close links with the eastern Goldfields Medical Division of General Practice, University of Western Australia Rural Clinical School and the newly-formed Goldfields Medical Education Steering Committee.
