Fin flies on licence grant

Shares in West Perth-based junior Fin Resources were up nearly 26 per cent after being granted a key additional licence for the Sol Mar project in the Pilbara.

Tenement E08/3355 covers 270.5 kilometres of Fin’s 80 per cent owned project and was granted by the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety yesterday.

The explorer is studying the area to determine the operational, environmental and economic feasibility of establishing a solar salt operation in the area.

The project is comprised of a 900 square kilometre licence holding, that Fin says bears ideal climatic conditions and access to infrastructure.

The newly granted tenement is considered a key component for the project, with close proximity to the Ashburton North Strategic Industrial Area and the Port of Ashburton.

Fin executive director Ryan de Franck said the company was progressing well with key planning, permitting and study activities at Sol Mar.

“The grant of E08/3355 is a good way to start the year and build momentum in what is shaping up to be an exciting year for FIN.”

Fin Resources shares are up 25.93 per cent to trade at 3.4 cents.
