FiberTel links Adelaide

TELECOMMUNICATIONS infrastructure developer FiberTel has begun its national expansion.

The WA-based company’s subsidiary, Amcom Telecommunications, has completed the first stage of the roll-out of a new broadband telecommuni-cations and data carriage network in Adelaide.

Amcom is well advanced in completing its roll-out in the so-called ‘Square Mile’ CBD. Stage 2 will involve extending the network into the broader Adelaide metropolitan area.

FiberTel plans to expand the Amcom network to cover up to thirty Australian cities over the next few years.

The company has already placed its high-speed data network infrastructure through the Perth and Fremantle CBDs.
