Ezier banking hits WA

THE INCREASING number of banking services available in the retail environment are helping busy business people save time.

The Ezy Banking service was launched this month in sixty-one Woolworths supermarkets and Big W outlets across WA.

The service is a joint initiative between Woolworths Limited and the Commonwealth Bank and covers 600 stores in all mainland Australian States.

Woolworths national banking manager Penny Winn said the service would allow customers to access their accounts in-store during normal trading hours or twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week via the Internet or telephone.

“The service can mean no more bank fees and enables customers to conduct their banking conveniently in safe and secure surroundings as part of their regular trip to the supermarket,” Ms Winn said.

“It is a new way of banking that places emphasis on security, convenience and simplicity and allows customers to earn rewards on transactions in Woolworths supermarkets and Big W.

The service offers ffity free electronic withdrawals at Woolworths supermarkets and Big W stores per month.

“In addition, the Ezy Action account is an everyday savings account that offers cash management interest rates for balances over $5,000,” Ms Winn said.
