Extract shares in trading halt

Shares in South Perth-based uranium explorer Extract Resources Ltd have been placed in a trading halt pending the release of information related to a proposed material corporate transaction.

The company expects to release a statement either after the close of trade today or prior to markets opening on Monday.

The company is predominately exploring for uranium in Namibia.

Shares in Extract last traded at 99.5 cents, giving the company a market capitalisation of about $220 million.
