Extended hours review

THE Western Australian Government is seeking the views of people and organisations for a review of extended working hours.

Consumer and Employment Protection Minister John Kobelke said the Government had put together a review panel to receive and consider public comment on the issue and make recommendations to the Government on potential improvements to the State’s safety and health framework to address extended working hours.

The review panel had meetings in Kalgoorlie and plans to hold other hearings in Karratha, on October 30 and 31, Bunbury on November 10 and Perth on November 12.

The panel has produced a discussion paper for public comment and that can be obtained from www.docep.wa.gov.au or by phoning 9282 0498.
