Oilfield services contractor Expro has won a $20 million well services deal with a major operator at the North West Shelf, off the coast of Western Australia.
The company will carry out well and drill stem testing, wireline logging and surface sampling on multiple exploration and appraisal wells across several gas development project in the North West Shelf region.
Expro did not disclose the name of the operator.
Work will commence immediately, to continue until the end of 2014.
Expro Australia business development manager Matt Donald said the company’s track record at the North West Shelf held it in good stead to succeed on the new contracts.
“We specifically leveraged our large bore subsea expertise and successful track record with this customer in a contract award that nurtures a close working alliance with one of our key customers,” Mr Donald said.
“The contract is of particular significance to Expro, as we have been chosen to provide the full range of well flow management services which will allow us to introduce other products and services from our core strengths in E&A well testing.”
