WA’s exports grew by 15.9 per cent in the March quarter, or $1.1 billion higher than a year earlier, despite the Australian dollar appreciating 14.4 per cent against the greenback over this period. WA bucked the national trend, which averaged a 3.2 per cent fall in growth in the quarter. Only Tasmania shared WA’s positive growth, with a 4.1 per cent increase.
