The inaugural Perth Home Builders Expo launches at Perth Town Hall tomorrow, aiming to provide buyers with finance, land and building advice, amid an uptick in new home sales.

The expo will feature more than 20 exhibitors across Western Australia’s building industry, including finance brokers, land estates, builders and suppliers, designed to assist new homeowners.

A dedicated finance area has been created to cater to the $10,000 First Home Owners grant, as well as the $20,000 state government’s Building Bonus and the $25,000 federal building grant.

Over the three months since the grants were announced in June, WA’s new home sales increased by 175 per cent, according to the Housing Industry Association.

The expo is being driven by Satterley Property Group, Builderz WA, Business Events Perth and Mates in Construction WA.

Builderz WA sales manager Cullum Ashton, who is also the expo organiser, said the expo aimed to provide buyers with a one-stop shop for information on building grants, land for sale, upcoming land releases, new homes and additions.

“We wanted, on the day, people to be able to know if they’re eligible for the grants and for finance,” Mr Ashton told Business News.

“We wanted everyone in the same space so people could go and ask questions about the grants and then if they qualify for finance they get a letter of eligibility on the day, which they need to secure a lot.

“Once they secure a lot can start talking to the builders about what home they want to build.

“This year, we are able to help our guests understand if they are eligible and how to apply potentially benefiting from $69,000 worth of incentives.”

Exhibitors include B1 Homes, Lets Finance, Golden Group, Plunkett Homes, Abel Land Sales, Safety Bay Settlements and more.

The Perth Home Builders Expo runs from 10am to 4pm tomorrow at the Perth Town Hall, with free entry.

“I hope the Perth Home Builders Expo becomes an annual fixture that our industry gets behind and benefits the wider community helping guests with their dream of owning a slice of Australia and building their own home,” Mr Ashton said.
