AICC Major Business Lunch: "Competition – Who Wins, Who Loses?" - Perth leaders will have the opportunity to hear from one of Australia’s distinguished corporate leaders at the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce’s Major Business Lunch on February 23 at the Burswood Convention Centre. Graeme Samuel AO, chairman of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), will share how the ACCC continues to forge new ground in tackling high profile industries and individuals. As well as being appointed as an officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia in 1998 Mr Samuel received the Centenary Medal in 2003 in recognition of his services as president of the National Competition Council. In discussion, Mr Samuel will refer closely to the recent amendments made to the Trade Practices Act and how these changes will positively impact on both consumers and businesses.
