Breakfast Seminar: "The Elephant and the Dragon: Can India’s Rise match that of China?"- The Australia Indonesia Business Council in affiliation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia is hosting a breakfast seminar on February 22 at the Matilda Bay Function Centre in Crawley. Guest speaker Tim Harcourt, chief economist of Austrade and guest feature speaker for The Australian Financial Review, will present a discussion on the potential economic superpower that lies within India and the Middle Kingdom and the threats and opportunities for Australia as these giants emerge. In the discussion, extensive comparisons will be discovered between the economic progress consistent in both China and India over the past 20 years, sparking the suspicion that India may become ‘the new China’. This seminar, which runs from 7.15 to 9.05am, costs $29.50 for AIBC and CCIWA members and $39.50 for non-members. Booking forms are available from www.aibc.com.au.
