Europe manager seeks Perth Challenge

Perth-boy, Michael Bassett has relocated to WA after 12 years based in north Germany. Mr Bassett has gained solid international commercial experience including operations management, marketing and business development. As Manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa for Japanese-owned Minolta Europe, Hannover, he established and directed the companys European 3D technology division. This division integrated and marketed threedimensional acquisition hardware and software to primarily industrial, medical, and computer-imaging clients. Applied solutions for virtual and rapid prototyping, inspection and industrial design were successfully introduced to clients such as Daimler/Chrysler, Siemens and Peugeot. As part of an international research committee, Mr Bassett was also involved in lengthy funding negotiations with the European Union in Luxembourg. He also participated as a guest lecturer at the German University of Digital Media in Berlin. In 1997, Mr Bassett headed the marketing division of a Hamburg based new-media firm in the domain of web, CD and 3D-Visualization. From 1992 he managed the Hamburg agency FotoForce, specializing in the advertising content and production of printed catalogues for European mailorder giants such as Otto, Quelle and Jelmoli. Mr Bassett possesses European and Swiss marketing and management certificates and a psychology degree (hons) from the University of Western Australia. He is now seeking a new challenge.
