THE Fremantle Sardine Company, Telstra Desktop Services and Compass Group have all been recognised in the Western Australian round of the Prime Minister’s Awards.
Telstra also won a national award.
The awards showcase employers who give people with disabilities a chance.
The Fremantle Sardine Company won a small business State award.
One of its employees Nevenka Fuduric has worked as a seafood processor for 10 years. Even though she has a disability she has become a valued employee.
Compass Group won the State award for a large business.
It has 55 disabled employees working in its WA and South Australian operations.
