Leading IT services provider Empired Limited (ASX:EPD) has secured an infrastructure outsourcing services
contract with the Victorian State Government's Department for Education and Early Childhood Development
(DEECD).

This is the first significant Victoria Government contract secured by Empired and further demonstrates Empired's
commitment to expand nationally. Empired secured the contract against strong competition, referencing its
success and experience in the WA State Government sector.

The contract value is $3M over a 3 year term structured as an initial period of one year with two one year options.

Under the terms of the agreement, Empired Limited will provide infrastructure outsourcing services to manage 2nd
and 3rd level support and maintenance of DEECD's Microsoft server platforms including Messaging Systems,
Database Systems, Internet, Intranet, and File and Print systems. Further to this, Empired will provide systems
integration and enhancement services to the Department's internal systems and infrastructure as required.
Empired Managing Director Russell Baskerville said this is a significant contract that further demonstrates the
company's commitment to its expansion in Victoria, and nationally.

"We are delighted to be awarded this contract by DEECD, one of the largest Victorian Government departments
in the state. Our demonstrated success in the WA State government sector was pivotal to being awarded the
contract which not only increases Empired's Victorian profile but further enhances our State Government
credentials"

"On the back of this win Empired will significantly increase staffing levels in Victoria and actively pursue a number
of other Victorian State Government IT Outsourcing contracts."

"We look forward to working closely and developing a long term relationship with both DEECD and the Victorian
State Government and delivering innovative services that will add value to our client's business."

This win comes only 8 months after the commencement of support for Australian gold producer and mineral
explorer St Barbara Limited. Together the contracts represent over $5 Million of contracts secured in Victoria in
the last 12 months.
