Newly-listed engineering company Emerson Stewart Group Ltd said it is on track to beat its fiscal 2008 earnings forecast, as outlined in its prospectus, by at least 5 per cent.
Newly-listed engineering company Emerson Stewart Group Ltd said it is on track to beat its fiscal 2008 earnings forecast, as outlined in its prospectus, by at least 5 per cent.
The company said the result was achieved through a stronger than expected performance across the business, particularly from the Infrastructure Business Line.
In its prospectus, Emerson forecast earnings for the 2008 financial year to be just over $2 million. A 5 per cent increase would boost that figure by about $100,000.
In the 2007 financial year, pro forma earnings came in at about $219,000.
Emerson Stewart's managing director Dario Amara said that he was pleased with the strong finish to the financial year and looked forward to a successful FY09
The company made a premium debut when it listed on the stock market late last month.
Shares in the company were unchanged at 20 cents at 15:34AEST.
