Ellison buys Eagle Bay property

Mineral Resources managing director Chris Ellison and wife Tia have snapped up a sprawling Eagle Bay property for $3.2 million.

The couple settled on the 1.17Ha property just in time to escape the Christmas heat wave, with the four-bedroom, four-bathroom home providing them a getaway location within walking distance of the beach.

The previous owners, Ray and Christine Passmore, bought the land for $865,000 in 2013, according to Landgate records.

Mr Ellison's purchase of a Mosman Park mansion from mining heiress Angela Bennett for $57.5 million in 2009 remains on the list of Perth’s most expensive all-time residential sales.
