EftNet seals bill pay deal

EFTPOS solutions provider EftNet has won a major supply, installation and support contract for the recently announced Australian Newsagents Federation BankWest bill payment service.

The service is expected to attract at least 1,000 of ANF’s 3,800 newsagents by the end of the year.

EftNet managing director Marc Abonnel said the deal was worth at least $1 million.

BankWest head of electronic commerce Marcus Stafford said the service would provide participating newsagents with a powerful tool for attracting customers.

“It was important to have a partner with the experience to ensure successful deployment of the terminals and ongoing support,” Mr Stafford said.

The Fox Technology-developed ‘B2B2C Wizard’ system has been integrated with the BankWest K23 EFTPOS terminal to allow outlets to offer EFTPOS and other bill paying services.
