Economic and Political Overview 2007

The Committee for Economic Development is hosting its annual overview session, February 12 at the Hyatt Regency. Discussion topics are as follows: • What will happen in the economy in 2007? • Will the boom continue? • Will interest rates rise again? • What’s ahead in politics? • Changes in leadership? • A change in government? Premier Alan Carpenter will conduct the lunchtime keynote address followed by a presentation by WA Under Treasurer Tim Marney, focusing on an economic overview of 2007. Azure Capital executive chairman John Poynton will conduct the business overview and Paul Murray, columnist and former editor of The West Australian, will provide a political overview. This event is part of a national tour, with similar events being held in Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney.
