Perth-based ECO Environmental has expanded its operations to Singapore through the acquisition of field services assets from US company Pentair.
The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, is designed to complement Eco's environmental monitoring, servicing and equipment leasing business in Australia.
The Perth company, which also has offices in Brisbane and Adelaide, said the Singapore branch would be renamed Eco Field Services.
Eco managing director Andrew Cooke said the acquisition confirmed the company’s growth strategy and was an opportunity to expand the organisation’s business into the Asian market.
“The Singapore purchase will enable us to leverage our expertise in water, dust and vibration monitoring into new markets and also develop greater expertise in remote monitoring which the Singapore business has,” Mr Cooke said.
Eco Field Services will be led by newly appointed general manager Wayne Farrell.
The Singaporean division already has several contracts for installation and maintenance of equipment in place with the Singaporean government, as well as private companies in the area.
