West Perth-based Dwyka Resources will tomorrow change its name to Nyota Minerals after it merged with Minerva Resources.
The announcement is below:
The Company confirms that it will change its name from Dwyka Resources Limited to Nyota Minerals Limited on Wednesday 23 September. This follows the Company's Extraordinary General Meeting, held on 2 September 2009, at which shareholders voted to approve the Company's name change.
The Company's AIM and ASX ticker will change to "NYO" - effective from the open of trading on Wednesday 23 September on ASX and AIM. The Company website address (at which the information required by AIM Rule 26 is available) will change to www.nyotaminerals.com, also effective as from Wednesday 23 September.
Commenting on the change of Company name, Melissa Sturgess, CEO, said, "Following the acquisition of Minerva Resources Plc and the announcement of a maiden Inferred resource at our exciting Tulu Kapi gold project in Ethiopia, the Company has entered a significant new stage in its development, which we wanted to reflect with a new name."
Nyota means 'star' in Swahili.
