Dumping days to end

COUNCIL’S days of dumping rubbish at Tamala Park, Mindarie may soon draw to an end.

Council’s representative to Mindarie Regional Council, which oversees the park, Deputy Lord Mayor Michael Sutherland said the worst case scenario was that dumping there would cease in three years.

“Council needs to look at alternative means of disposing of its rubbish,” Mr Sutherland said.

Plans are afoot to redevelop Tamala Park and turn it, in part, to residential uses.
