Macquarie Capital executive director Justin Mannolini has been appointed non-executive director of West Perth-based explorer Jindalee Resources.

West Perth-based Jindalee Resources, which is primarily focused on the acquisition of new projects with potential to transform the company, has a new chairman and a new director.

Founding director and long-serving chairman Mark Scott has retired from the board to pursue other business interests.

Managing director Lindsay Dudfield will assume the role of executive chairman.

Macquarie Capital executive director Justin Mannolini has been appointed non-executive director.

Mr Mannolini has more than 18 years experience in corporate finance and was previously managing director of Gresham Advisory Partners' Perth office.

Before that, he was a partner in the mergers and acqusitions group of law firm Freehills, based in Perth and Sydney.

"We are delighted to welcome Justin to the Jindalee board," Mr Dudfield said.

"Justin's experience and expertise will be invaluable as we seek to transform and grow Jindalee for the benefit of our shareholders."

Jindalee holds interests in gold, iron ore, base metals and uranium prospects across the state and currently holds liquid assets worth $9 million.

Jindalee shares were steady at 24 cents at the close of trade today.
