Drilling for strength

WA manganese producer Consolidated Minerals Limited will shortly kick off a major reverse circulation drilling program at its Woodie Woodie project in the Pilbara as part of a long-term strategy to increase the project resource base to underpin a ten year mine life.

An improved mine life will place the Perth-based company in a strong negotiating position for extended sale contracts for its manganese opera-tions, building on recent marketing achievements which included a breakthrough in the Japanese, Korean and European markets.
