Dowling, Boyle join Fleetwood

S2 Resources chairman Jeff Dowling and Clayton Utz partner Stephen Boyle have been named incoming directors of Fleetwood Corporation, while Michael Hardy has retired from board.

Mr Dowling, who chaired Sirius Resources until it was acquired by Independence Group in 2015, and Mr Boyle will both join the Perth-based company’s board as non-executive directors, with Mr Dowling to start his tenure in July while Mr Boyle will begin in the role from next month.

Both will be paid $70,000 per annum in fees.

Their appointments came as Mr Hardy announced his retirement as a non-executive director of Fleetwood, after serving on the board for nearly 13 years – eight of which he served as chairman.

“The board of directors would like to formally recognise and thank Michael for the significant contribution he has made to the development and success of Fleetwood since his appointment to the board in 2004,” Fleetwood said in a statement.”

Fleetwood also said it was in advanced stages of its search for a chief financial officer.

“Allowing for an appointee to provide appropriate notice to their current employer, the commencement date will be in the first quarter of the next financial year at the latest,” it said.
