GOLD producer Dominion Mining has substantially increased production at its South Australian Challenger Mine during the March quarter.
The miner lifted its production by 46 per cent in the period to 12,244 ounces of gold. According to Dominion’s production report, mining costs also decreased during the period, reflecting the introduction of high-grade underground ore.
Exploration during the March quarter was also positive, with significant copper and gold drilling results both at Challenger and new discoveries in WA.
The production increase is good news for the company’s share price, which was up 6 cents on the news to 31 cents.
