Domestic passenger numbers surge at Perth Airport


Since September 2002 Perth Airport has reported growth in domestic passenger numbers month on month, equating to 43 consecutive months of growth.
"This is a phenomenal result for the airport and a testament to the booming Western Australian economy," chief executive officer Graham Muir said.
Perth Airport has also reported positive passenger growth for the first three quarters of financial year 2005-06. International figures increased almost four per cent compared to the same period in 2004-05.
Domestic figures continued to surge with figures showing more than seven per cent growth for the period.
Overall passenger throughput increased by more than six per cent for 2005-06 equating to 316,365 extra travellers arriving and departing at Perth Airport compared to 2004-05.
