Domestic numbers flying high in Perth

PERTH Airport has reported growth in monthly domestic passenger numbers for 43 consecutive months since September 2002. The period of almost four years of consecutive monthly growth was revealed when Perth Airport, owned by Westralia Airports Corporation, reported positive passenger growth for the first three quarters of the current financial year. International figures increased almost four per cent to March 31, compared to the same period in 2004-05. Domestic figures continued to surge, with figures showing more than seven per cent growth for the period. Overall passenger throughput increased by more than six per cent for 2005-06, equating to 316,365 extra travellers arriving and departing Perth Airport compared to 2004-05.
