On Tuesday April 22, UWA Extension are conducting a one day workshop which has particular relevance in the current world climate, Doing Business Without The Cultural Barriers, which will be held at the UWA Campus.
The workshop has been designed to provide attendees with a relevant guide on how to improve cross cultural interpersonal skills and expand cultural awareness and understanding of Muslims and the Islamic faith. Areas that will be addressed during the workshop include learning to exercise sensitivity to cultural norms and taboos, developing the skills and attitudes to work effectively with Muslims, examine the sources of Islamic legislation, the Doctrine and the festivals, and the opportunity to learn some key Arabic words. The workshop will not cover political issues.
Registration for the workshop costs $245 per person and there is a limit of 24 people for the workshop, to register or for further information log on to www.extension.uwa.edu.au.
