Diverse group wins EY awards. The winners of this year’s Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards were a diverse mix, including a miner, a contract cleaner, a tech head and a truckie. The winners included two people who have featured in WA Business News’ 40under40 awards, namely Sally Malay Mining managing director Peter Harold and Commtech Wireless founder Nathan Buzza. Other winners were Stephen Lauder, whose company AHS Group provides contract cleaning for the hospitality industry, and Craig Mitchell, managing director of trucking company Mitchell Corp Australia. The award for social entrepreneur went to Sue Robertson, managing director and co-founder of Edge Employment Solutions. Jack Bendat was recognised as the ‘champion of entrepreneurship’ for 2005.
